Work with us
We are building consortia, and we are equally interested in bilateral cooperation, contract research and hosting researchers. Below is what we are prepared to take on, what we can bring, and — because it matters more than most partnership pages admit — what we need from you.
What we are prepared to take on
| Role | Why us | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Impact assessment and evaluation work package leader | We have run it end to end in an H2020 CCAM project, and the numbers survived review | MAVEN · Transportation Research Part D 2020 |
| Digital twin architecture and validation lead | An operational corridor twin, a published taxonomy, a ministry-endorsed methodology and an honest scalability analysis | D3E · railway reference architecture |
| Behavioural work package leader | Our own data collection infrastructure, multi-country datasets, and a framework for what a behavioural model may legitimately claim | SMART · MaaS Together · SPARC |
| Demand modelling work package leader | A published synthetic population and MATSim pipeline, plus the inference layer operational twins are missing | Applied Sciences 2022 · Transportation 2025 |
| National node and testbed provider | A living lab with municipal data agreements, and a national competence centre with ministerial governance | Digital Twin Evropská · RESISTRANS |
| Coordinator | We currently coordinate a CZK 273.6 M, thirteen-partner, six-year national centre | RESISTRANS TQ28000041 |
Where we are building consortia
Horizon Europe Cluster 5
Safe, resilient transport and smart mobility; climate-neutral and smart cities.
CCAM Partnership
Urban CCAM deployment, mixed-traffic management, large-scale demonstrations, acceptance and trust.
Europe’s Rail
Flagship participation, System Pillar activities, the transversal Digital Twin of Europe’s Rail topic, and capillary-line services. We are not currently inside a flagship — this is a deliberate approach.
Horizon Europe Cluster 3
Critical infrastructure protection and disaster-resilient societies.
Horizon Europe Cluster 4
Trustworthy and explainable AI, with transport as a domain carrying real liability constraints.
Digital Europe and data spaces
Interoperability, data governance and reference implementations for the Common European Mobility Data Space.
EIT Urban Mobility, Interreg, EU Missions
City-facing deployment and evaluation.
European Defence Fund
Military mobility and transport network defence capability, through RESISTRANS and the University of Defence partnership.
Bilateral schemes
Running or recent cooperation with Taiwan (NTUST), Norway (Stavanger) and Sweden (Gävle). We host visiting researchers and postdocs.
Assets, not adjectives
- 01An instrumented living labA three-kilometre multimodal Prague corridor with live feeds from five providers, available for neutral evaluation of partner technology.
- 02Negotiated data accessOperating agreements with a capital city’s road authority, its technology suppliers and its city data platform. Anyone who has tried this knows the negotiation is the hard part, not the code.
- 03Co-financing capacityCZK 74.6 M of committed non-public co-funding inside RESISTRANS, which eases the matched-funding arithmetic in a bid.
- 04Institutional accessA standing channel to the Czech Ministry of Transport, Správa železnic, ŘSD, SFDI, the Ministry of Defence and the Police of the Czech Republic.
- 05Working code and modelsSelf-calibrating SUMO loops, a synthetic population generator, multi-agent signal control, SHAP-based choice models, and a passenger-weighted quality indicator suite.
- 06Doctoral capacityA joint doctoral programme in Smart Cities and the CTU Global Postdoc Fellowship as a hosting instrument.
Where we need a partner
So that this reads as an exchange rather than a shopping list — these are the genuine complements to what we hold, and in three cases they are gaps we state openly on the pillar pages.
An operational environment
A traffic management centre, an infrastructure manager, a public transport authority — somewhere a method can be tested against real consequences rather than only against data.
A second city or network
So that transferability can be demonstrated rather than assumed. This is why we invested in the long-term cooperation with Taiwan Tech.
Railway operational data
The one input our railway architecture work currently has to reason about rather than measure.
Human-factors and operator-study capability
To run the control-centre studies we have declared as future work: operator response time, recommendation acceptance rate, agreement between operator decisions and system output.
Vehicles, roadside equipment, VR/AR facilities
For field validation of cooperative control, and for the trust and handover agenda where we have infrastructure but no results yet.
